Why did David take Jerusalem? Why did you capture Zion? What motivated his prophetic vision, to see this city as the base of God’s kingdom and the home of His Glory?
Certainly, this is one of the most significant historic markers for Israel and the kingdom of God since this city becomes the center, the navel, of spiritual activity for the earth. So, what can we understand of David’s quest to bring it into the dominion of the God of Angel Armies?
David came into kingdom with his own army and his own wealth. Then, he established his own kingdom capitol city. He did not go to Saul’s city or where the ark of God was located. He took a new place and brought the Glory to that new location.
